Art Teacher/Dean of Students
My name is Art Araujo and I support the NexTech Art program, mentor young minds, and deal with day-to-day student concerns. After a start in the private sector, I have been excited about my new position as a full-time educator for the past few years. With that, I have found my true passion! After attending Ferris State University with an Illustration degree in a past life, I was able to obtain a fine arts education certification from Kendall a few years back and I couldn't be happier.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my wife and children. We have a busy household with 15-year-old Aiko, 6-year-old Lily, and 2-year-old going on 17 Logan. We enjoy cooking, dancing, playing board games, and laughing. All this fun is usually over by 8 pm and then my wife Jenn and I enjoy reading and writing. Supporting young people all over the state is a passion we both share. I have been teaching for almost 8 years and I absolutely love it. I look forward to our time together here at Nextech and I can't wait to see our students reach their full potential.
