With the upcoming school year beginning August 24th NexTech High School released their Return to Learn Plans. There are two main options for families, depending on the comfort level of the students and families. All of the plans place student learning and safety first. As staff return to campus this week our first priority will be to reach out to each family to discuss the plans and to ensure their students are placed in the appropriate session.
The first plan continues our traditional approach for the year, looking to continue face to face learning with our normal 16 and 16 plan. There are additional spacing and cleaning options within the campus as well. We would encourage families to check out our Facebook page to see these updates and how the floor looks.
The second option would be to begin the year fully virtual. This plan is similar to what we ended our year with, although students will be responsible for attending live courses when they occur. There is no "hold-harmless' for grading, so students need to ensure they can dedicate the time for learning while offsite and stay on pace.
