NexTech Hosts Black History Month Celebration to Appreciate School’s Diversity

Another February and another perfect time to celebrate our diversity by looking at Black History Month.  Its a month to reflect on the past, observe the present, and start change for the future.  We take time to know the past, understand the present, and have hope for tomorrow.  NexTech takes this month to help students see how civil rights history influences today, and how today and this decade will soon be important history as well.

In light of Black History Month we want to give students a special chance to share their own family culture.  School will be holding a potluck where students are encouraged to make a family favorite recipe and share it as a dish to pass at school.  Students will then be able to appreciate the wonderful diversity our school has within the student body.
